Thirty years of making digital things.

Still learning how to make them better. I work across digital products, experiences, learning and systems, usually where the problem crosses more than one of those boundaries.

  • 15+years designing digital learning across education, aviation and workplace wellbeing
  • 6years inside the Civil Aviation Safety Authority
  • Diamond Awards, Best eLearning Project, LearnX 2024
  • 60+Storyline courses rebuilt during the Connect & Learn migration

Selected work

Current systems, product work and evidence from earlier practice.

Wellbeing Studio shows contemporary product and service work. The eLearning Design System shows reusable learning patterns, components, governance and learning-data design. Connect & Learn shows platform and content migration at scale. CASA shows regulated professional learning.

From a content portal towards a connected wellbeing service.

The redesign starts with situations in the working day rather than a library taxonomy. Entry, live experiences, campaigns, continuity and production proof are being treated as one connected product problem.

Independent practice · 2024–

One eLearning system. Different branded implementations.

Begun in 2024, the eLearning Design System connects learning patterns, reusable components, platform implementation, accessibility, governance and meaningful learning-data design. ISQ is a major implementation context, not the owner of the core system.

Independent Schools Queensland · 2024

One term. A platform migration and a course rebuild at once.

Connect & Learn moved platforms while more than sixty Storyline courses were rebuilt in parallel. Platform, learning architecture, content estate and operations could not be serial hand-offs.

Practice

The work changes scale. The responsibility does not.

Across these projects the work moves between product strategy, experience architecture, learning design, interaction, platforms, production and implementation.

Certain decisions keep recurring: frame the real situation, keep connected decisions connected, and solve at the scale the problem requires.

The practice

Frame. Shape. Make. Evidence.

I work across product strategy, experience architecture, learning design, visual design, media, platforms and implementation; the useful boundary is the point where the problem is genuinely solved.

The work here includes both the decisions and the things that were made, because good ideas still have to survive contact with real users, real platforms and real production constraints.

How the practice worksAbout Glenn

Start with the problem, not the service label.

If you recognise something in the work, describe what is happening. A few sentences is enough to start.
